2011 Open House a Huge Success!
The East Rivanna Volunteer Fire Company held its 2nd annual Open House on Saturday, October 8th. Personnel from East Rivanna were on site to showcase the training and equipment used to protect our community every day. Also on site were representatives from: ABC Fire Extinguishers, Charlottesville-Albemarle Rescue Squad, Virginia Department of Forestry, and the Virginia State Police. For more information about East Rivanna, or if you're interested in joining, please feel free to contact us.

The East Rivanna Volunteer Fire Company (ERVFC), founded in 1969, answers approximately 900 emergency calls each year. ERVFC primarily serves eastern Albemarle County (Keswick, Pantops, etc.) and also assists the city of Charlottesville and surrounding areas as called upon. The membership at ERVFC consists of a diverse group of volunteers, performing tasks ranging from administrative to Fire Suppression and Emergency Medical Services. After joining, new members are assigned to a crew where they begin to learn the basic skills necessary to be an effective team member. Within the first year, more advanced training and certifications are provided at no cost to the member.
Please be patient while this site is still being built. We also encourage your feedback. Questions/comments can be sent to: dlang@ervfc.com
